Elements and Performance Criteria
- Plan and prepare for air cleaning operations
- Access, interpret and apply air cleaning compliance documentation and ensure the work activity is compliant
- Obtain, read, interpret, clarify and confirm work requirements
- Select and wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the activity.
- Obtain and interpret emergency procedures, and be prepared for fire/accident/emergency.
- Select, and check for faults, equipment/tools for work activities. Identify, address and report potential hazards, risks and environmental issues.
- Select approved dust suppression and extraction methods and ensure area is well ventilated before entry.
- Start-up equipment in sequence
- Operate and monitor equipment
- Read and interpret data from equipment indicators to determine air cleaning efficiency
- Inspect operations/plant and catchment areas to identify air cleaning process defects and potential problems
- Adjust equipment to approved operating parameters to optimise and maintain efficient air cleaning and to meet product quality targets
- Add any required reagents to approved operating parameters
- Carry out minor maintenance tasks to maintain condition of equipment
- Complete all required written documentation clearly, concisely and on time
- Communicate end of shift information verbally or in writing to oncoming shift
- Shutdown in sequence and/or isolate equipment.
- Conduct housekeeping activities
